Project Description

Traditional agricultural methods have managed to lose, within only a 50-year time span, most of the arable crop plants humanity has cultivated in the last 11,000 years. The fundamental conceptual reasoning of this design lies in the conviction to offer a space for those arable crops which have not fallen victim to standardization yet. The main mission of the museum of seeds consists of retaining the seeds of rare vegetable and fruit varieties, growing the young plants and making them accessible for private and public cultivation of the actual products.
